Bocce

Bocce

Bocce is a centuries-old sport that combines strategy, skill, and a bit of luck. Played on grass, bocce involves rolling a set of balls (called ‘boccino’) towards a smaller target ball (called the ‘jack’), with the aim to score as many points as possible for your team. Bocce can be played between two teams of one, two, or four players. The game is often considered a modern version of the ancient Roman pastime known as ‘pallo’.

The boccino come in different sizes and weights, typically made of hard plastic or metal. The jack is usually smaller than the other balls and may have a different color or design. Each team takes turns rolling their boccino towards the jack, and points are given based on how close each ball ends up to the target. The team with the highest total score at the end of the game is declared the winner.

Bocce is a great way to have fun outdoors with family and friends. It’s also an excellent way to foster healthy competition and promote communication. Whether you’re playing with experienced bocce players or introducing the game to a group of newcomers, it’s sure to be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. So grab your boccino, pick up a jack, and get ready for some fun. Are you ready to add bocce to your calendar?
